Cimarron Electric Youth Tour 2026 is Here!

The Trip of a Lifetime

Each year, Cimarron Electric chooses students to represent our awesome state at Oklahoma Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. Selected students will join more than 2,000 student leaders representing cooperatives across the nation on a weeklong, ALL-EXPENSES-PAID trip to visit national landmarks, meet with their congressional representatives and learn what it means to be an actively involved citizen.
Youth Tour will be June 13-19, 2026.

Contest Prompt: Use a cell phone or camera to make a short video and include the following information in your video:

Name
School
Activities in your school and community that you are involved in.
Brief description of a cooperative and what makes it unique.
Why would you be an excellent Youth Tour Delegate who would represent your school and Cimarron Electric Cooperative?
Research the Seven Cooperative Principles and tell us how one of those impacts your life.

Videos will be judged based on research, creativity, and overall effectiveness of delivery.

Contest Rules

Videos must be in a format acceptable for YouTube. Please submit a video that is filmed landscape, not portrait.

The video must be appropriate for all ages.

No commercial content is permitted (music, video, animation). Evidence of rights will be verified before a video is declared a winner.

Videos must be developed by the student submitting the video. No professional (paid) assistance may be used in production of the video. Any entry doing so may be disqualified.

All applicants must be juniors in a school within the Cimarron Electric Cooperative’s service territory.

All applications are due Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

All applications must be completed in their entirety and will be reviewed by a panel chosen by or appointed by Cimarron Electric Cooperative. All applications become the property of Cimarron Electric Cooperative.
